Beginning this month, local enterprises will be classified into four categories - high credit, creditworthy, record of minor breach of provisions and record of serious breach of law - so that administrators can keep a close eye on disreputable companies, the Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau announced yesterday. Firms that make counterfeits or use fraudulent methods in business will be listed in the worst category, while those included in the first category will be exempt from routine checks by supervising departments, the bureau said.
