Chinese Vice Foreign Minister WangYi told Friday's news conference that China hopes Japan and the DPRK to solve the issue of kidnapped Japanese through talks.

This is an unsettled case between Japan and the DPRK,he said.

Wang made the remarks when asked to comment about Japan's stance that the kidnapping issue should be solved together with the nuclear issue.
