Bremer announces capture of Saddam Hussein 14/12/2003

Saddam Hussein was captured in his hometown of Tikrit on Sunday,US top civil administrator in Iraq Paul Bremer confirms in a press conference here.

Bremer said the Iraq's ousted leader was caught early Sunday 50km south of Tikrit.

"Those days (of tyranny)are over and now it is the time to lookto the future,"Bremer said.
