Donations totaling 6.27million yuan (755,421US dollars)have reached Kaixian county,Chongqing Municipality,where a gas blowout on Dec.23killed 233people.

The county has also received 93,800items of clothing,30,500quilts and 35,400food packages,a county spokesman said.

Most evacuees have returned home and the county will help them resume normal lives.

In one town near the blowout center,Gaoqiao Township,shops have re-opened,people could be seen walking and children playing in the streets.
