Nabil Abu Rudeineh, a top aide to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat said Tuesday that Arafat hailed the announcement of different factions to enter a unified national leadership following an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

Abu Rudeineh told reporters in the West Bank city of Ramallah that "we are for their participation in decision making".

"In principle, we would like to see the participation of anybody," he added.

Meanwhile, Abu Rudeineh disclosed that several Palestinian factions, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, had asked to send a delegation to a rescheduled Arab League summit.
