Jordan's King Abdullah II left Amman on Wednesday for a visit to the United States, where he will talk with US officials about Middle East peace process, the official Petra News Agency reported.
Their talks will also focus on bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of investment and economy, and Iraqi situation, the report said.
Jordan will exert its utmost efforts to provide Palestinians with support and assistance with a view to enabling them to build their capabilities and control the situations in Gaza after the Israeli troops withdrawal, Abdullah was quoted by the report as saying.
During his visit, the Jordan's king will deliver a speech in the National Press Council in Washington to US media representatives and political figures.
He will also meet a number of US businessmen and investors to brief them on the Jordanian investment opportunities, particularly in the information technology field.
Jordanian Prime Minister Faisal Fayez will later join the King in Washington.
