Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said Thursday that Ethiopia would continue to support the peace efforts to resolve the conflict in the Middle East, which are accepted by the international community.
He made the remark in Addis Ababa while talking with Salman El Herfi, Palestinian ambassador to South Africa and political advisor to Yasser Arafat.
Meles said his country would continue its support to the efforts underway to settle the Middle East crisis through peaceful means, adding that Ethiopia would also "support the activities being done by the Palestinian people for self-autonomy through peaceful means," according to the Ethiopian News Agency.
After the talks, Salman told journalists that the Middle East crisis was in very difficult situation at present and Palestine has requested Ethiopia to continue to support the Palestinian people.
