Set on the Isle of Jersey during World War II, this thriller tells the story of Grace (Nicole Kidman) who moves with her two sick children into a mansion on an isolated island while her husband is off at war. Unable to withstand sunlight, Grace's sons must live in total darkness. In their isolation, they discover they are not alone: there is a ghostly presence in their house.
