With the implementation of garbage classification in Shanghai, catering enterprises like fast food restaurants, coffee and milk tea shops are working hard to turn “green”.
Starting from July 1, Shanghai will welcome a new age of mandatory garbage sorting. Though some residents might still be struggling with whether the contents of their bins are classified as wet, dry, hazardous, or recyclable, they are getting used to it.
As the city’s garbage classification promotion has moved into full swing, some communities have already taken the lead in this “white war”. The Ronghua Community on Hongqiao Street, whose residents are mostly foreigners, is one of the exemplar setting pioneers.
