Shanghai, September 7- The overall development plan of China’s first simulative Mars base was recently mapped out in Qinghai Province.

The total investment is estimated to exceed 400 million Yuan, according to the development plan.

The photo above taken on August 18 shows China’s first simulative Mars base located in Hongya (Red Cliff) region of Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai.

The distance between the base and the surrounding developed natural landscape is moderate. And it is adjacent to Gansu –Qinghai tourism circle, which is much convenient.

With the goal of “desert tourism + extraterrestrial experience”, the base will be developed into China’s first Mars science and &culture creative leisure base in a wilderness area.
