The ceremony of the 200-day countdown to the opening of the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on April 18.

About 150 people, including officials from the consulates in Shanghai of Belarus, Ecuador and Kazakhstan and representatives of trading institutions, attended the event.

With a planned area of 360,000 square meters, this year’s exhibition will continue to give full play to the functions of international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchange, and open cooperation.

On the same day, streams of companies signed to participate in the exhibition in the technical equipment exhibition area, the consumer goods exhibition area, the food and agricultural products exhibition area and the auto exhibition area.

This event also arranged an investment environment promotion section. For example, Peng Yihao, deputy head of the Qingpu District of Shanghai, promoted opportunities in the district to exhibitors in terms of location advantages, functional layout, business environment, favorable policies, and industrial cooperation.
