Huangpu district got its name from the mother river -- the Huangpu. Due to its special geographical location and rich historical heritage, it is called the heart, window and business card of Shanghai. The district is where the Site-Memorial of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China is located and also the birthplace of the Communist Youth League.
