Personal safety to be featured at international education exhibition
From:Shine  |  2018-03-20 13:29

Special training for overseas students will be featured at an international education exhibition to be held in Shanghai at the end of the month to quell the number of accidents experienced by Chinese students abroad.

There will be a series of lectures on topics ranging from consular protection and cross-cultural exchange, to related services available for Chinese students studying abroad.

“Accident occurrence increases as more and more Chinese students go abroad for study,” said Han Sanjun, an official of the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, organizer of the exhibition. “We hope we can help them reduce the risk with better preparation.”

About 60 international schools and organizations will show up at the China International Education Exhibition Tour on March 31 at the Shanghai International Convention Center, where students and parents can talk face to face with some school and consulate officials.

The exhibition will be held in five cities — Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Shanghai and Guangzhou —between March 24 and April 1, involving more than 200 schools and educational organizations in total.

The exhibition, one of the most famous of its kind in China, was initiated in 1999 and has attracted about 1.45 million visitors in the past two decades.
