The 1,000-meter-long Daxue Road in Shanghai’s Yangpu District is arguably one of the most popular roads among the city’s younger generation, especially literary and artistic youths. Since the summer heat has gone, it is time to go out and spend your weekend playing and shopping at the handicraft fair on the road.

The fair will have a truly mixed bag of items on offer. You will find various kinds of exquisite crafts mostly designed and handmade by the vendors themselves. The broad selection includes clothes, handbags, accessories, knick-knacks, bric-a-brac and other wares. Foreign stallholders will also sell their goods at the fair, offering you a chance to peek inside the diverse, exotic cultures of other countries.

However, the fair is not only a venue for sales. During the three-day event, Daxue Road will also become a gathering place for artists, musicians and creative people of every kind. What’s more exciting is that visitors to the fair can try their hand at crafting a piece of artwork by themselves.

The fair will take place from 11:00 to 22:00 between September 22 and 24.
