The capping of the China Trade Center in Moscow occurred on Sept 26, five days ahead of the scheduled deadline for work. More than 100 people from the Chinese and Russian governments and enterprises took part in the capping ceremony.
The center is expected to open next year, becoming the headquarters base for Chinese enterprises in Russia.
The center, with a 120,000-square meter floor area, includes office buildings, 5A-rated hotels, serviced apartments and conference centers.
Li Hui, China's ambassador to Russia, said the center is a business card of China along the Belt and Road. The quality of the project shows China's power and craftsmanship in construction. He hoped the project could become a template for China-Russia pragmatic cooperation.
A representative of the Moscow government said that the project has boosted regional economic growth.
