CHANGSHA, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Central China's Hunan Province saw its trade with countries along the Belt and Road amounted to 123.04 billion yuan (17.8 billion U.S. dollars) in 2019, surging 53.6 percent year on year, local customs said Thursday.
Hunan's total foreign trade hit 434.22 billion yuan last year, up 41.2 percent year on year, according to the customs of Changsha, the provincial capital.
Among major trading partners, trade with ASEAN countries reached 61.9 billion yuan, up 62.7 percent. It was followed by the trade with the European Union, Hong Kong and the Republic of Korea at 55.7 percent, 43.6 percent and 42.9 percent, respectively.
Hunan's GDP is estimated to have grown by about 7.6 percent year on year in 2019, according to its government work report.
