The Chinese Embassy in France signed a cooperation agreement on establishing the Belt and Road Paris Forum with the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs, a Paris-based global think tank, in Paris, the capital of France, on June 29.

The two sides will co-host the forum for the first time this year, and have reached consensus on the forum's fundamental aims, working principles and mode.

The forum will be the first platform for exchange co-organized by a Chinese embassy abroad and a major think tank in Europe under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The forum will be held on a yearly basis on topics related to China-France and China-Europe relations, so as to promote building of the initiative.
