Zhao Chenxin, spokesperson for the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), shared his insights on how to effectively tell Belt and Road stories and convey information to different audiences at the China-CEEC Spokespersons Dialogue held on July 17.
Zhao said, spokespersons should seize opportunities created by new media communication to tell and spread the rich information and vivid stories in the building of the Belt and Road Initiative, including the Silk Road spirits, the initiative's visions, important outcomes in building connectivity of policy, transportation, trade, finance and people, as well as how countries along the Belt and Road join their hands to address challenges and carry out cooperation and reforms.
Zhao urged spokespersons along the Belt and Road to make joint efforts to use new media in an innovative and effective way to convey relevant messages and contribute to the building of the initiative.
The event, the first of its kind held by China to exchange views on news releases with participants from 13 Central and Eastern European countries, was themed on the Belt and Road Initiative and global communication.
