The Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) has started broadcasting Hello, Joann, a TV series about two Chinese women's careers and growth pains after college, on Aug 22.
The TV series was translated by the MRTV and the Guangxi People's Radio Station. The two stations selected six dubbing speakers to dub the TV play which is played at prime time on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, in the program Chinese TV Plays, which is the result of a cooperation agreement signed by the two stations in 2013.
About 160 episodes of the Chinese TV series will be shown through the program to Myanmar's audiences every year.
Media cooperation and exchanges of various forms between China and Myanmar become more frequent in recent years.
Fan Yi, director of the Guangxi People's Radio Station, said the cooperation represents a new model for regional media outlets to cooperate with partners from countries along the Belt and Road routes, and can be established as a new brand of the Chinese culture in its going out.
