Workers put in place the first power pole for the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou electric
railway yesterday in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, in eastern China, marking the start
of the construction of the rail line that is part of the nation’s express railway network.
The railway, designed to operate at 200 kilometers an hour, is scheduled to start a trial
operation in the first half of next year.—Xinhua
