Shanghai expects as many as 100,000 overseas Chinese professionals to move to the city in the next two years looking for work.

About 70,000 such professionals have moved to Shanghai in the past 30 years. The reason for the forecasted increase in numbers is the global financial crisis, which has made China a better place for them to develop their careers, Oriental Morning Post reported yesterday.
