Members of the public may have more access to high-tech enterprises, universities, scientific institutes and hospitals as the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology is lobbying the government to encourage these facilities to open their doors to visitors.

Based on the nation's first survey of scientific education resources, the association has also suggested the government raise tax rebates for enterprises that donate to scientific education and introduce rules to encourage the sharing of scientific education resources.
