‘Swan Lake’

This version will be presented by Imperial Russian Ballet, a troupe created in 1994 by soloists Gedeminas Taranda and Nikolai Anokhine on an initiative of famous Russian ballerina Maija Plisetzkaya. The company consists of 40 artists from the best ballet schools of Russia, including Moscow, Sankt Petersburg and Perm.

Ballet and Concert

The 77-year-old Birmingham Royal Ballet from Britain will give two ballet shows,“Beauty and Beast”and“Romeo and Juliet.”During their Shanghai stay, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia will also stage a concert of Debussy’s“Prelude a l’apres-midi d’un faune”and Shostakovich’s“Piano Concerto No. 2.”The dance company features the world’s top ballet dancers and stage designers, with an extensive repertoire from the most classical to the most avant-garde.

Symphonia Vienna

Founded in 1978, Symphonia Vienna is composed of musicians from both Vienna, the hometown of European music, and other countries. It preserves the tradition of Vienna while at the same time explores the new ways of performance. They will play under the baton of Hans-Peter Manser“An der schonen blauen Donau”of Johann Strauss II and“Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor”of Otto Nicolai. Soloist is Christina Zurbruegg.

‘Swan Lake’

Flamenco‘Carmen’

One-Man Show

Arturo Brachetti, born in Turin, Italy, is a quick-change artist. In the Guinness Book of Records 2006-07, Brachetti was described the fastest quick-change artist in the world. His change from one costume to another is performed in a matter of seconds, often by throwing a sheet up and completely changing costume by the time it falls.
