With the confirmation of the Republic of Argentina of its participation, 107 countries and 15 international organisations had accepted invitations to attend the World Expo 2010 Shanghai by 16 March.

Miguel A Velloso, Argentina's consul general to Shanghai, said in a letter to Zhou Hanmin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, that he was glad to confirm the participation of Argentina in the World Expo 2010 Shanghai.

"We two countries have been closely connected by friendship and trade. I believe the World Expo 2010 Shanghai, to be held in the same year of the 200th anniversary of Argentina's independence, will create a great opportunity for us to further communicate," said Velloso in the letter.
