China's second aid to Sri Lanka arrives

An Airbus 747 belonging to China southern cargo landed at Sri Lankan Bandaranaike international airport on Tuesday, bringing relief goods for people living in Tsunami-hit areas.

The relief goods worth 15 million yuan (around 1.83 million dollars) include blankets, tents, bed sheets, medicine, mosquito net, generator, such food items as milk, biscuits and so on.

China offered the first batch of relief items worth 10 millionyuan (around 1.22 million dollars) and 200,000 dollars in cash to Sri Lanka on Dec. 29, 2004.
