Millions of dollars worth of aid pledged by China to tsunami-hit countries have been successfully delivered so far, an official revealed yesterday. The sum includes 21.6 million yuan (US$2.6 million) worth of emergency aid, 500 million yuan worth of damage-relief aid and US$20 million for multi-lateral assistance, according to Chong Quan, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce. The 21.6 million yuan emergency aid has all been delivered so far and over half of the 500 million yuan has been used or allocated to damage relief work.
