Phoenix TV to enter south China

Phoenix Satellite Television Holdings Ltd will launch a joint venture in
south China, eager to tap the area's huge market potential, eastday.com
reported.
Shenzhou TV Co Ltd, Phoenix TV's agent in mainland China,
signed an agreement for the joint venture yesterday in Guangzhou, capital of
south China's Guangdong Province, with the Guangdong Broadcasting and TV
Development Center.
The two companies will jointly launch Guangdong
International Media Co Ltd to operate Phoenix TV's advertising and marketing
business in Guangdong as well as promote the Hong Kong TV station's TV programs
in the province. It will also distribute Phoenix TV's TV programs to TV stations
in Guangdong and produce TV programs in mainland China.
