Invest in Green Future—CSR and Innovation 2016 Shanghai Summit, guided by the Shanghai Information Office, the Shanghai Commission of Commerce and the Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau, is held by Shanghai Observer under Jiefang Daily, Shanghai Daily and Eastday.com this afternoon.

Experts and scholars in corporate social responsibilities gathered together and had in-depth discussions and exchanges on Shanghai’s green development path towards “global city” construction.
Introduction
This year marks the start of the 13th Five-Year (2016-20) Plan which embraces the concept of an innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development. How to invest in a green future is of paramount importance for Shanghai, which has been pursuing to become an innovation center in science and technology with global influence. The CSR Excellence Awards is an attempt to put forward good corporate examples to further drive Shanghai's sustainable growth.

1. Companies or their subsidies registered inShanghai, including foreign-invested companies, state-owned enterprises and private firms

2. Companies with good practice in corporate social responsibility with no bad records in the past three years (any attempts to conceal the records will lead to disqualification and made public)

Methodology
The organizers will invite renowned scholars, market insiders and media experts to be the judges for the competition. The winners will be selected based on each case study by the panel (60 percent) and online votes (40 percent).
