Shanghai, December 8- With the growing popularity of the consumer hardware, more and more VR experience centers can be seen in various cities, making VR gradually accepted by the public as a new-type media.
2016 NAB Show Shanghai, co-organized by TCDIC and NAB, recently kicked off at Shanghai New International Expo Center, providing a cross-media feast full of international intelligence and innovation.
The event attracted 145 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions focusing on VR/AR, HDR, OTT, LTE, IP, multi-platform streaming media broadcast and professional audio and other latest radio and television technology to fully display the latest products and integrated cases of cross-media technology and equipment.
One of the exhibitors, domestic virtual reality content provider Icloudwave exhibited a VR interactive work named Explore the Old Summer Palace, attracting lots of visitors to have a try. With the help of CG technology, the work revivifies the palace and makes viewers immediately go back to the historical scenario.
“VR content production is not just a simple combination of cameras, but a media form which involves a new narrative thinking, editing means and even the early and late stage algorithm,” Feng Wei, CEO of Icloudwave, revealed that they will in the future explore their content production in the depth, artistry and interactive aspects.
VR is considered to be the next generation of communication and media communication platform and will eventually change the way people consume media. Feng believes that VR technology must be implemented to solve real business problems so as to stimulate its real vitality.
