DANA Make cars environmentally friendly and energy efficient

DANA is the world’s leading provider of advanced solutions to improve the efficiency, performance and sustainability of power vehicles and machinery. The company, headquartered in Maumee, Ohio, is rated by the Drucker Institute as one of the 250 most effectively managedcompanies.

Since entering China in 1991, DANA has established 16 factories and facilities in the country, employing about 6,500 people (including joint ventures in which it holds 50percentstake). Its Asia-Pacific region is headquartered in Shanghai.

DANA’s market strategy in China will be closely tied to the country’s national strategy by developing the new efficient, green and renewablevehicles and equipment, and striving to promote the “Made in China 2025” in the vehicle industry, which will contribute to China’s reform and opening-up.

In 2012, DANA launched the Spicer® Rui MaTMdrivetrainsolution specifically for Chinese engineering equipment and other off-road vehicles. The solution won the 2016ShanghaiCSR Excellence Award. The award is recognition of the outstanding performance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the achievements made in green innovation and green development.

DANA set up a 12,000-square-meterChina technology center in Wuxi in 2013 to provide advanced products and applications to original-equipment manufacturer in themarkets of passenger vehicle, commercial truck and off-highway equipmentin China and throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The center is also the addition to Dana’s global network of research and development, focusing on company’s business of mining and heavy-duty axle.
