2018-10-17 15:01:14

LANXESS has contributed to China’s environmental protection through technology development, innovation and public awareness training.

In order to achieve the industrial modernization under “Made in China 2025,” China has formulated stricter standards on environmental protection. In April 2018, LANXESS Ningbo Factory won the title of “National-level Green Factory” issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. The factory’s innovative processes, which have been patented in China, have greatly reduced the nitrogen oxide emissions, and the remaining greenhouse gases have been completely purified. Up to 80percentof the process water can be directly recycled and reused for production. LANXESS also providesquality lightweight materials to new energy vehicles, contributing to the environmental friendly auto industry.

In addition to its own business, LANXESS also actively fulfills its social responsibility, calling on more Chinese people to pay attention to environment-related issues. LANXESS China has held for four years a water resources research competition for university students named “clean water for better life.” The competition has attracted students from many universities, such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shandong University. LANXESS has also joined hands with China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) to hold seminars on health, safety and environmental protection (HSE), in which it would share with the local government, the chemical industry park, and other enterprises its concept and practice in safety, environmental protection and health. At the same time, LANXESS has been open-minded and held many public days to disseminate the concept of sustainable development to local communities through visits to factories, chemistryclasses, safety classes and other programs.
