9,985 Athletes Compete in Biggest-ever National Games
The 10th National Games formally opens in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, on October 12.This year's games are the biggest yet, featuring 9,985 athletes competing in 32 sports. The separate events are being held in 10 cities of Jiangsu province through October 23.

The 10th National Games, a rehearsal for the 2008 Olympic Games to be held in Beijing, closed in Nanjing yesterday after 12 days of hectic competition.
