Sep.17,2010, 50 representatives of Expo 2010 visited Huzhou for the "Friendship Day" activity to share cultural experiences, renew friendship and discuss possibilities of new cooperation. The guests enjoyed the touring in the scenic town Nanxun, visited Zhang Shiming Residence, Xiaolian Zhuang and Series Lake Wire Museum in this town, and participated in the opening ceremony of Huzhou Brush International Festival. The Local Government hosted a nice banquet for the visitors in the evening.

Huzhou is situated in the north of Zhejiang Province, neighboring Shanghai on the east,adjoining Hangzhou on the shouth, and leaning against the Tianmu Mountain on the west. Huzhou borders the vast Taihu Lake, and faces Wuxi and Suzhou across the lake. It is the only city named after Taihu Lake. Huzhou is an ancient city with a history of more than 2300 years, and has beautiful natural sceneries and many historical cultural relics. Huzhou is one of the 14 major cities to be planned and developed with high priorities in the Yangtze River Delta.

Huzhou has jurisdiction over three counties (Deqing, Changxing and Anji) and two districts (Wuxing and Nanxun). It has a total population of 2580000 with a total area of 5818 square kilometers.
