On Sep.23,2010，60 representatives of Expo 2010 visited Haining city of Zhejiang province for the“Friendship Day”activity to share cultural experiences, renew friendship and discuss possibilities of new cooperation.
Haining is located in the southern part of the Yangtze River delta on the southeast coast of China, in the northern part of Zhejiang Province. Qianjiang Tidal-Bore Viewing in Yan'guan town of Haining City
During the visit in Yan’guan town of Haining , the international guests from Expo attented the 17th China International Qianjiang Tidal-Bore Viewing Festival. Yan'guan is a small town in Haining City in east China's Zhejiang province. It is the best and most famous place to view the Qiantang tidal wave. The Tidal Bore is one of rare natural wonder caused by the gravitational pull of the stars and planets. Tidal view of Qiantang River is various and the tide difference is different as well. When it is in the remotest places, it is like a white rainbow rising from horizon; when it is in sight, it is inundant; on the east and west seawall, you can watch both "line tide" and "conflict tide". Every year, on the 18th day of the eighth month of the Chinese Lunar calendar, thousands of tourists from home and abroad gather in the town and surrounding areas to view the spectacular sight of the tidal bore. In 1992, the Haining Tidal Bore was listed among the ten best tourist resorts in Zhejiang Province.

It was listed among the first lot of state-level intangible heritage with the approval of the state While Counsil Xiashi Colored Lanterns, Know for its 8 skills and punctured patterns, has a history of 1200years. Xiashi Colored Lanterns was included in the First national Intangible Culture Heritage.
