The Former Residence of Song Meiling in Shanghai, also known as Love House, is located in No.9 Dongping Road. It was the dowry of Song Meiling when she married Chiang Kai-shek on December 1, 1927 and now it has been used by the secondary music school affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Sasha's, a western restaurant.
The residence is a French-style building. It is composed of one main building and two auxiliary buildings. In front of the residence there is a rockery carved with Chiang Kai-shek's inscription "Love House".
Around this villa there were many properties that belonged to the Song and the Kong, etc. Now these villas have been turned into restaurants or bars where people spend their leisure time.
