As the first provincial museum in the national postal system, Shanghai Postal Museum is officially opened to public on January 1st, 2006.

 

The museum is located in the rebuilt Shanghai postal building along the Suzhou River. With a space of 8000 square meters, there is the duplicated horse-drawn carriage used in 1909, the truck model used in 1917. All these relics reappear the postal development and changes.

 

In the museum there is also a postage stamp hall, with stamps of the only existing copy and other precious stamps and designs.
