In Xujiahui Park, Little Red House is so small that a big tree can totally cover it. The building has been called "Little Red House" for its red wall bricks. However, it is really amazing to know that this very small wedstern building almost witnessed the overall development history of China's pop music since 1920s. In 1921, EMI France established EMI Record Production Company in Shanghai. Little Red House was used as a recording studio. In 1930s, the then most famous stars such as Chow Hsuan, Hu Die, Ruan Lingyu etc. were all singers signed up with EMI. Many classic best hits, like Rose, Rose,I love you, Night of Shanghai and Evening Primrose, had spread over the world from here. It was the golden age of the Little Red House! Now, it becomes a renown Spanish Restaurant.
