The Best position to overlook Suzhou Creek Mother river of Shanghai, is on North Sichuan Road Bridge. A U-Shaped western classic complex stands near to the north end of North Sichuan Road Bridge. It is the biggest post office landmark in China- Shanghai General Post Office Building, with the bell tower and tower standing out in the main entrance in the southeastern corner. The spacious, bright and magnificent business hall on the second floor of Shanghai General Post Office Building won the fame of "the First Hall in the Far East" and one can visit the Shanghai Post Museum exhibiting various stamps including rare ones. As the landmark of China's post office buildings, it has not only witnessed the history of Shanghai, but also performed immortal feats for the development of China's post service. It was listed as "Permanent Building" in 1986.
