The middle section of Century Avenue

Century Avenue, hailed as Avenue des Champs Elysees in Paris, is an urban landscape street in Shanghai. With a length of 5.5 km and a width of 100 metres, Century Avenue runs from the Oriental Pearl TV Tower to Pudong Administrative and Cultural Center. It is an important thoroughfare with beautiful views.

With the unique unsymmetrical design, the green belts and sidewalks of the avenue are wider than the driveway, forming a more reasonable and comfortable overall effect of people, traffic and architecture.

There are eight botanical parks with distinct characteristics built along the north side of the sidewalk, namely, Willow Park, Metasequoia Park, Cherry Park, Crape Myrtle Park, Magnolia Park, Camellia Park, Bauhinia Park and Panicled Goldraintree Park.

The Sundial

Century Avenue is the only sculpture show street themed as time in the world. The Sundial, the Oriental Bright, the Five Elements and Century Chenguang…all aspects of sculptures and art works add profound cultural charm for the avenue and the city.
