From:ChinaDaily   |  2021-05-21 19:46

HONG KONG - Alejandro Nicolas Aguzin, the new chief executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), will start his three-year term next Monday, HKEX said in a statement on Friday.

Aguzin used to serve as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the international private bank business of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and its Asia Pacific chairman and CEO.

Aguzin said previously that he is honored to lead the world's largest stock market group and believes HKEX will continue to act as a catalyst that connects the mainland with the world.

With Aguzin taking office, Tai Chi-kin will cease to be the interim chief executive of HKEX and will continue in his roles as co-president and chief operating officer.
