McCafe’s New Tailored Products for Chinese Consumers

Recently, McDonald’s handmade coffee brand, McCafe, released a customized new product called the "Wake-up Series" for Chinese consumers. This series will be added to the long-term menu. The products include: Wake-up American, Wake-up Latte, Wake-up Cappuccino, and Wake-up Bubble Fruity American Coffee.

The new "Wake-up Series" uses a blend of M10 coffee beans from Rwanda, Brazil, Colombia, and Ethiopia. Compared with the classic series, it increases the amount of coffee powder and achieves three times the richness, while retaining the essence of the middle and front segments. The extraction time is also shortened by 8 seconds and the milk volume of the latte is increased by 17%, with a 4:1 golden milk-to-coffee ratio, and denser milk foam.

Xu Yingting, general manager of McCfe, said, “This new product is a brand new product tailored for Chinese consumers after the brand upgrade of McCafe in November last year. Since the launch of McCafe’s stores in the Chinese market, the total number has exceeded 1,600. In 2023, the total number of McCafe's stores nationwide will exceed 4000."
