Man makes fortune by fruit-cutting skills
By:Wu Qiong   |  From:english.eastday.com  |  2021-12-17 09:46

A young person in Shanghai runs two stores and earns 50,000-60,000 RMB (around 7,852-9,423USD) per month thanks to his fruit-cutting skills.

Coming from Anhui province, Wang Zhichao was born after 1990. He had worked as an assembly line worker in a factory and an electric welder, before finally deciding to open a store selling fresh-cut fruit.

One of his stores is in Changning, and it receives 12,000 orders per day. As the business is booming, Wang’s relatives in his hometown were motivated to come to Shanghai to help him.

Over the past years, Wang has gained some experience. As he noted, the fruit cutting industry is like milk tea, which is on its way to be a mainstream consumer product for white-collar workers. He believes there are several factors in order to run a fruit cutting shop successfully. First is the site of the store, which should be nearby office buildings and residential communities. Second is the thoughtful service: to respond to customers’ needs immediately. Third is standardization.
