Tips for health: traditional exercises during Spring Equinox

As the fourth solar term, Spring Equinox is the midpoint of spring.

On this day, the sun is above the equator and day and night are of equal length.

To relieve the springtime lethargy, we can take a walk and have some fresh air as Yang-Qi flourishes.

The exercise of Spring Equinox stretches Large Intestine Meridian Sinew of Hand-Yangming.

It starts from the index finger and extends to the shoulder, neck and nose along the anterolateral side of the arm, and also runs towards the opposite side of the jaw through the forehead.

As you inhale, push out both hands with the index fingers forward. Turn your head to one side, look up and back. Turn back your head as you exhale. Repeat several times according to your own conditions.

During Spring Equinox period, a balanced diet can help Yin-Yang balance of human body.
