World’s largest Very Large Ore Carrier (VLOC) Yuan He Hai is delivered by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co.,Ltd on January 11.

It is the first ship of the second generation 400,000- ton VLOC the shipbuilding company produced for China COSCO shipping group, and a new product with lower costs and better competitiveness.

Driven by single-rotorlow-speed diesel engine, the 362-meter-long and 65-meter-wide ship features the latest strength standard and is characterized by advantages in environmental protection, energy saving and safety.

In 2017, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co.,Ltd has undertaken 24 new shipbuilding orders, with the deadweight top one across the nation and top three in the world. In 2018, the company plans to focus on the upgrading of traditional ships to meet the market demands.
