A physical exhibition entitled Watches and Wonders arrived in Shanghai, after the biggest ever online watch show took place in Geneva’s history. The exhibition, which opened on April 14, displayed over 100 new models from 19 prestigious brands.

The West Bund Art Center has welcomed 19 exhibiting brands, including Cartier, Rolex, Piaget, and Vacheron Constantin. Guests discovered in person new timepieces and enjoy workbench demonstrations.

Not only visitors and guests had the chance to discover some of the watches unveiled online at Watches and Wonders Geneva, they could also be first to see new models created especially for the Chinese market.

Certain brands were presenting unique pieces and iconic heritage watches. For instance, Ulysse Nardin has premiered a UFO table clock which represents the future. It literally rocks as it displays time on three dials with marine chronometer accuracy. Vacheron Constantin has brought its latest Egérie Moon Phase jewelry watch.

At the IWC Schaffhausen booth, parts and components of IWC watches have been turned into exhibits to show off the watchmaker’s superb craftsmanship. Baume & Mercier also surprised guests with the unique design of its booth which looks like the movement of a watch.

Running from April 14 to 18, Watches and Wonders Shanghai was open to professionals, including media, retailers and select guests, for the first two days, before opening to the public by invitation only.
