On July 6, as part of the "Chaoyong Pujiang·Qingpu New City Major Functional Matters Project", and as one of Shanghai's five "new cities", Qingpu District unveiled five major projects for its new city, including the Shanghai Pharmacal Health Industry Headquarters, the Shanghai headquarters of China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd., TCL Shanghai Qingpu and Creative E City, the headquarters of Kangqiao Life Science Park, and the Qingpu-Fudan International Fusion Innovation Center. These will diversify and promote the integration of industry and city, and also attract more talents to come from near and far.
Fudan University will provide talent support for the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta region by building four innovation colleges in Qingpu, which will focus on integrated circuits and micro and nano electronics, computing and intelligence, biomedical engineering, intelligent robotics and advanced manufacturing. It will also lay out a number of cutting-edge new engineering research platforms in information and communication engineering, aerospace, complex systems engineering and other fields," said Wu Libo, the director of Fudan's development and planning office.
Focusing on the “future city” standard, Qingpu District actively promotes digital infrastructure to stimulate the new vitality of the city.
China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. intends to set up its second headquarters, Wisdom Headquarters of China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, within the central business district of Qingpu New City. It will focus on construction industrialization, general contracting, urban operation and maintenance, new infrastructure, new energy and green construction business, and will continuously develop investment, digital technology, and R&D and consulting on the basis of expanding and enlarging its traditional business.
