Shanghai's annual two-month shopping festival has been launched on July 30, creating a carnival for both shopaholics and entertainment seekers.
The event covers July to September, and the digital economy, neighborhood life, and green and low carbon products and scenes will become new hot spots for consumption.
This year's shopping festival will launch a series of innovative activities such as the Shanghai Global Products Debut Season and Shanghai Global Food Festival, to better meet the needs of improving people's lives, to further boost consumer confidence and release consumer potential.
A total of 1,078 first China stores of various brands were opened in Shanghai in 2021, including 14 first global stores or first stores in Asia, and 167 first stores on the Chinese mainland, according to the press conference related to the 3rd Shanghai May 5th Shopping Festival. In the first half of this year, a total of 366 first China stores of various brands were opened in Shanghai, still leading the country in terms of quantity and quality.
