On September 9, Dongjia's first arts and craft exhibition was held in Huabao Mansion, Shanghai's earliest antique market building in Yuyuan Garden Malls, offering the public a "cultural gift".
It is hosted by the traditional crafts online app "Dongjia" of Dongjia Cultural and Creative Industry Group, a subsidiary of Yuyuan Inc.
In the Book of Poetry are three hundred pieces, but the design of them all may be embraced in one sentence: "Having no depraved thoughts”. With that theme the exhibition is divided into three sections: Feng (ballad), Ya (court hymns) and Song (eulogies), with a total of 51 exhibits, covering jade jewelry, porcelain and purple sand, calligraphy and painting, printing stones, home furnishings and other categories. When talking about the theme of this exhibition, Zhu Jianshan, partner of Yuyuan Inc. and founder of Dongjia app, said, "Over the years, we have been thinking about the question: How should traditional Chinese art be rooted in oriental culture, to carry out contemporary creative expression, and then explore the way of integration of oriental aesthetics and contemporary life, so that oriental life aesthetics maintain a vivid vitality? We tried to find the answer from the origin of oriental culture. The phrase 'Having no depraved thoughts' is the origin of Chinese literature and has profoundly influenced the development of Chinese art and culture for two thousand years. This exhibition is the answer to these thoughts given by Dongjia and the outstanding craftsmen and artists from Dongjia app, hoping to give the audience a glimpse of the development of Chinese culture and aesthetics through the ages.”
In addition, the annual autumn auction of Dongjia app will be held from September 15 to 29, and some exhibits of the exhibition will be auctioned online and offline simultaneously during the autumn auction.
