On September 28, the new exhibition "Design for Fun - Italian Contemporary Design" opened at the Museum of Art Pudong. The exhibition presents more than 100 classic pieces of Italian design from the past 70 years, tracing the diversity and spirit of contemporary Italian design.

The exhibition is in Galleries 4A and 4B of the museum. The works on display are full of humorous, rebellious, and exaggerated characteristics. Some of the works show the abandonment of the functional oriented furniture design concept, while others show the grotesque imitation and secondary creation inspired by classical architecture and furniture. For example, famous Italian architecture Studio 65 designed the Capitello chairs in 1972, based on the Ionic columns of Greek architecture.
