The C919, China's first self-developed single-aisle passenger jet, netted 300 new orders on Tuesday from seven domestic aircraft leasing companies during the ongoing airshow in Zhuhai, Guangdong province.
The companies signed agreements with Commercial Aircraft Corp of China, the manufacturer.
The parties concerned are China Development Bank Leasing, ICBC Leasing, CMB Financial Leasing, BOCOM Leasing, CCB Financial Leasing, SPDB Financial Leasing and Jiangsu Financial Leasing.
The orders came after the C919 received its type certificate in late September in Beijing from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the first plane will be delivered to China Eastern Airlines in December.
The seven companies also signed orders to purchase 30 ARJ21 regional jetliners from COMAC during the airshow.
